Droplet Bouncing
When applying your spray on the crop you have to take into account the angle and hydrophobicity of the leaves and the size of your droplets.
The more vertical and/or hydrophobic the leaves and the bigger the droplets, the more they will bounce and end up on the ground. Our surfactants significantly reduce or completely stop droplet bouncing, no matter the crop and droplet size. In the first part of the video you’ll see a droplet of water bouncing on a, more or less, horizontal banana leaf. You can clearly see that water droplets alone will produce very low deposition and therefore high loss of spray liquid.
In the second part of the video you’ll see a water droplet with Zipper added to it. When it hits, the droplet doesn’t rebound and stays where it is. This has a variety of positive effect, the most obvious being, more spray liquid on the crop. All our surfactants significantly reduce or completely stop droplet bouncing, no matter the crop, no matter the droplet size.
